2015 has seen a lot of changes in the world of mobile casinos, with many USA sites adding the best online slots to their mobile offering and more and more real money casinos adding a mobile optimized version of their sites, and/or an app. 2016 is just around the corner though, so here we take a look forward to the mobile developments we'd like to see and some that we expect to see.
Mobile Casino Revolution Gathers Pace
Mobile casinos have been around for some time in one form or another but in the last two or three years they have really come on. Better phones, faster and more reliable connectivity and Wi-Fi and investment in software have helped produce some superb mobile casinos and the mobile revolution, as some like to call it, is unquestionably here.
In 2016 we really expect that to continue, with even greater investment from operators and higher usage from customers, with many sites now seeing as much traffic on mobile as on desktop. More and more people now have cell phones capable of making the best of mobile casinos and, eager to get a slice of the mobile market, casinos are improving their products all the time.
As such we expect a wider choice of games at a wider choice of casinos, with more and more live dealer products becoming available on mobile and the introduction of mobile-only bonuses and promotions to encourage take-up.
In addition the better processing power of modern cell phones, coupled with their generally larger screen size, means that full account functionality should become the norm on mobile. That means that the full suite of games may become available, live chat services should work and account history should become more easily accessible.
Continued Increases in Internet Availability
Looking at the wider world, we expect full and fast internet availability to improve, both through greater provision of Wi-Fi, improvements to internet connectivity in rural areas and faster and more reliable 4G.
Mobile casinos boast that they offer unrivaled convenience and you can play anywhere and anytime and in 2016 we expect big steps to be taken towards that, meaning that you really will be able to play mobile roulette, mobile baccarat, mobile slots or blackjack and claim a nice bonus, just about anywhere, including on aircraft.
